About me

I was born in Chile, but my parents moved to Belgium when I was 3 years old. Although I was very young when I left Chile,  I still keep some memories : the rosegarden of aunt Isabel, my duck, my dogs, the smell of my first plastic ball, chiquitita by ABBA, the day I trapped one of my finger in papa’s piano, the mouse in topoyiyo shoes, mummy after I lost my baloon in the market.

In Brussel, I lived for 21 years, where I studied latin and greek at the Athénée des Pagodes, then Fine Arts in the Institut Sainte Marie.

I was interested by music and after finishing the college, I studied  Musicology and Archaeology for two years in the University of Brussel.

However, after receiving my diploma to pass to the next level, I decided to switch to a technical career because I wanted to get a more practical knowledge that would enable me to work in a wider area of the society.

After finishing my graduation in Electronics in the INRACI, the first company that hired me sent me to Spain to assist an operator for the set up of a VOIP network.

I was delighted by the lifestyle in Spain, so I immediately accepted the offer of one consultancy agency that proposed me to work for the same project, OLA Internet.

Unfortunately, this project was one of the many projects that started so strong in 2000 and crashed one year and half after. The collapse of the network of Ola Internet ocurred at the same time as the collapse of Lucent Technologies, so the whole network department was dissmissed and the company hired the network of third party service provider.

Nearly at the same moment, my violin teacher introduced me to the conductor of the orchestra at the theater of  San Sebastian de los Reyes, and I had the opportunity to earn some money playing in the orchestra, while working in a real estate valuation company.

That marked a turnover in my technical career as the technical field was oriented to databases and application, where I learned a lot about Informix databases , using Power Builder.

However I still had nostalgy for the telecommunication’s world, and finally after three years I decided to go back to the telcos.

Since then, it has been three years now that I work for an IT consultancy company, mainly dealing with SS7 and Sigtran projects.

And I am very happy
